Windesi, July 26, 2025 — The Women’s Fellowship (PW) of GKI in Tanah Papua, Klasis Windesi, once again demonstrated remarkable spirit and creativity in the celebration of the 2025 Thanksgiving Prayer Day, held over two days from July 25 to the peak on July 26, 2025. Involving all congregations across the Klasis, the event became a true expression of spiritual strength and unity among the church's women in ministry.

Carrying the theme: “The Love of Christ Moves the Church’s Independence to Realize Justice, Peace, and Welfare” and sub-theme: “The Love of Christ Builds Spiritual Synergy of PW GKI across Tanah Papua to Create a New Culture of Unity, Perseverance, Faithfulness, and Obedience”, the entire series of activities was conducted with enthusiasm, order, and deep meaning.

A Series of Colorful and Meaningful Activities

The celebration began with a Professional Costume Carnival held at GKI J.A. Van Balen Windesi Congregation, where women from various congregations dressed in outfits representing professions such as nurses, teachers, farmers, and church leaders. This carnival was more than a parade; it was a symbol of hope and prayer for women to take active roles in every aspect of life social, economic, and spiritual.

In the evening, the atmosphere shifted to a sacred tone with the Torch Parade, which took place across Service Area IV, including the congregations of GKI Franz Mosche Jomber, N. Rinooy Saref, and Sola Scriptura Prufrey. The torches carried through the streets symbolized a faith that continues to burn brightly through the devotion of these women of God.

Adding a layer of biblical insight, the Bible Quiz Competition (CCA) was held in the same area, bringing together PW teams from different congregations. This demonstrated how dedication to the Word of God remains a vital foundation for strong spirituality and leadership within the church.

The culmination of all events was the Thanksgiving Worship Service, held simultaneously across all congregations on July 26, 2025. This service served as a sacred moment of reflection and gratitude for Christ’s enduring love and guidance, empowering and uniting women in His body, the Church.
