Windesi, July 10, 2025 — In an effort to strengthen financial reporting and management systems within the church, the Synod Executive Board of Region XII held a Church Finance Training using the SAPDA Application (Dirham Aikarai Reporting System Application). The event took place in Windesi, one day before the XII Regional Coordination Meeting.
The training was attended by Church Treasury Supervisory Bodies (BPPG) across Region XII, Regional Executive Board members, and application operators at the classis level. Participants were introduced to SAPDA, a digital platform designed specifically to support financial management in church settings in a transparent, accountable, and real-time manner.
In this modern era of ministry, churches are called to provide an administrative and financial reporting system that is transparent and responsible. This training addresses the growing need for a digital solution to replace manual processes that are time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to monitor comprehensively.
The SAPDA application serves as a solution to streamline recording, reporting, and financial evaluation within the church, while fostering a culture of honesty and accountability in ministry. Through digital transformation, all levels of the church — from congregations to classis and synod — can monitor financial stewardship clearly and consistently.
In his address, Rev. Wamafma, representing the Synod Executive Board of Region XII, emphasized that the successful implementation of a digital system like SAPDA requires shared commitment and mutual support. He offered an illustration of a long staircase, symbolizing the journey ahead: “We must step on each stair together, one at a time, supporting one another along the way despite our limitations.”
This analogy reminded participants that technological advancement in ministry is not only a technical matter but also one of spiritual unity and collaboration within the Body of Christ.
The training proceeded in a solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere. Participants showed strong engagement in learning the application and in discussing the challenges of implementation in their respective contexts. By the end of the session, participants expressed their commitment to apply what they had learned to their local responsibilities and ministries.
With the broader implementation of SAPDA, churches throughout Region XII are expected to grow in good governance, professional service, and a powerful witness of faith in society.
