Mamisi, September 8, 2025 – A joyful atmosphere marked the arrival of the Spiritual Tour delegation from GKI Pniel Mniber Congregation, Supiori Utara Classis, at GKI Ora et Labora Mamisi Congregation, Windesi Classis. A total of 62 participants consisting of members from the PKB (Men’s Fellowship), PW (Women’s Fellowship), and PAM (Youth Fellowship) arrived at Windesi Harbor on Monday (8/9) around 2:00 PM local time. Upon their arrival in Mamisi, the group was warmly welcomed by the congregation with traditional drum and flute music and was escorted in procession to the church building.
The fellowship began with an Opening Worship Service led by Evangelist C. Mambor as an expression of gratitude for the God-given encounter. Following the service, the visitation program was officially opened by the Windesi Classis Board through a warm address delivered by Elder (Pnt.) Petrus A. Wekaburi. This moment of fellowship marked the beginning of a series of activities to be carried out together for approximately one week.
The delegation from GKI Pniel Mniber was led directly by the Spiritual Tour Team Leader, together with the Daily Board of the Congregational Council, who gave their full support and encouragement in the ministry.
According to the planned agenda, GKI Pniel Mniber and GKI Ora et Labora Mamisi will undertake several important activities, including:
-
Introduction among congregation members as a means of building closer fellowship and strengthening bonds between the two congregations.
-
Service sharing and Bible Study (PA) to deepen faith and exchange ministry experiences for mutual spiritual enrichment.
-
Physical work on church fence construction as a concrete expression of service and unity in supporting the physical needs of the church building.
-
Visits to historical sites (Kamdiri, Aitiobi, Kamiturai) to learn about the history of ministry and the cultural heritage that shapes the faith identity of the Windesi congregation.
-
Nutmeg planting as a symbol of joint labor, environmental care, and strengthening of the congregation’s economic sustainability for the future.
In addition, Rev. Marthen M. Torembi, S.Si.Teol, Chairperson of GKI Elim Bosendisbari Congregation, who accompanied the spiritual tour team, explained that the group would also adjust to the local congregation’s ministry agenda. One of these is the Family Nurturing Program held in September, during which each member of the visiting team will join household visits. This program aims to strengthen fellowship, revive family spirit, and nurture the faith and unity of the congregation.
The presence of the spiritual tour delegation was warmly welcomed by the members of GKI Ora et Labora Mamisi. Their participation is expected to strengthen inter-congregational fellowship, build solidarity, and deepen the bonds of ministry within Windesi and Supiori Classis.
Through this program, congregations are reminded that a spiritual tour is not merely a physical journey but also a journey of faith that brings together God’s children in genuine fellowship. It is hoped that this event will be a blessing, inspire greater commitment to ministry, and strengthen unity in embodying God’s love in church life and in the wider community.
