The thanksgiving worship service became the center of the celebration and was attended by the Windesi Classis Working Body, POG, commission secretaries, section heads, office staff, candidates for the ministry of the Word, as well as several representatives of congregations. This shared presence reflected a spirit of unity and thanksgiving for God’s guidance throughout five years of service in the Windesi Classis.
The worship service was led by Rev. Hendelina Iwanggin, S.Si., who delivered a reflection on God’s Word from Jonah 4:1–11. In her message, she emphasized that God is a God who cares deeply and acts justly toward all His creation. Through the story of Jonah, the congregation was invited to open their hearts, move beyond self-interest, and cultivate a spirit of care for others and fairness in every relationship and ministry. This reflection served as a reminder that church ministry must always be rooted in God’s love that embraces all people.
The worship atmosphere was further enriched by hymns and praise songs presented by several ministers, office employees, and staff, which added joy and warmth to the simple celebration.
Following the worship service, a single address was delivered by the Chairperson of the Windesi Classis Working Body, Rev. Maria Wayar, S.Si., M.M. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation and gratitude for the simple yet well-organized celebration, as well as for the togetherness and participation of all who were present.
She also highlighted that the Windesi Classis Office Building is an important part of supporting the overall ministry within the classis and serves as a representative facility for coordination and administrative work. Therefore, all ministry coordination is expected to take place effectively through the Windesi Classis Office.
In the spirit of the Year of Care, she encouraged all ministers and congregations to jointly pay attention to, maintain, and take good care of the Windesi Classis Office Building as a shared responsibility and expression of collective ownership.
This simple celebration concluded with a prize draw and a fellowship meal, further completing the joy and sense of togetherness among all participants. The 5th anniversary celebration became an expression of gratitude for God’s continued guidance and a renewed encouragement to serve with a spirit of care, justice, and unity in the life and ministry of the Windesi Classis.
